My Dentist Vancouver—Your Local Clinic for CDCP‑Covered Care

Located at 4588 Frase St. in Vancouver, our team is now fully enrolled with the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)—Canada’s newest national initiative for affordable oral health. If you or a family member qualifies, we can bill the plan directly so you pay little to nothing out‑of‑pocket for covered care.

How Does It Work?

Scheduled to begin covering treatment in May 2024, the CDCP is a publicly funded dental benefit for those with an annual household income under $90,000 and no private dental insurance.

The plan covers the cost or a portion of the cost of an enrolled patient’s oral health treatments to prevent and treat oral disease which, in turn, can protect against serious health problems.

How Can I Apply for the CDCP?

Application periods are staggered between December 2023 and 2025. See FAQs below for details. As of May 2024, seniors 65+ can apply online or over the phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The CDCP is a federal dental insurance program that helps uninsured Canadians with a household income under $90,000 get essential oral health services. The plan began with seniors in 2024 and, as of June 1 2025, all remaining uninsured adults (18‑64) can also receive care.

Who is eligible today?

To use the CDCP at our clinic, you must:

  • Have no private or workplace dental coverage
  • Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
  • Have filed your 2024 tax return (and your spouse/partner’s, if applicable)
  • Report an adjusted family net income < $90,000
  • Fall into one of these groups now covered:
    • Seniors 65+
    • Children under 18
    • Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate
    • Uninsured adults 18‑64 (applications opened in May 2025)
